Chief Investment Officer, Polygon's European Event-Driven Fund & Co-Founder and Head of Investment Committee, Tetragon
Reade Griffith is the CIO of Polygon's European Event-Driven Fund and a co-founder of Tetragon and Head of its Investment Committee.
Tetragon is a closed-ended investment company that invests in a broad range of assets, including bank loans, real estate, equities, credit, convertible bonds and infrastructure and TFG Asset Management, a diversified alternative asset management business. Tetragon is traded on Euronext in Amsterdam N.V. and on the Specialist Fund Segment of the main market of the London Stock Exchange. Assets under management for TFG Asset Management as of 31 December 2016 totaled approximately $20 billion.
Mr. Griffith was previously the founder and CEO of the European office of Citadel Investment Group, a multi-strategy hedge fund that he joined in 1998. He was a partner and senior managing director responsible for running the global event driven arbitrage team in Tokyo, London and Chicago.
Before Citadel, he was with Baker Nye investments where he was investing for a global merger arbitrage and special situations portfolio.
Mr. Griffith is currently a member of the Financial Sector Forum at the Bank of England and the Dean's Advisory Board at Harvard Law School.
Mr. Griffith holds a JD cum laude from Harvard Law School and an undergraduate degree in Economics magna cum laude from Harvard College.
He was also a Captain in the United States Marine Corps and saw combat in Operation Desert Storm in Kuwait.
He resides in London with his wife and three daughters.
